Metropolitan at the 9 Rooftop Wedding

Summertime Rooftop Wedding – Metropolitan at the 9

L and J celebrated their Metropolitan at The 9 rooftop wedding last summer in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. From the start, this couple was truly a treasure. When we first connected with them, they had a couple of key priorities in mind. They hadn’t secured their venue yet and were considering a few different options. But they knew what mattered most: family, a space that truly felt like them, and the dream of a rooftop celebration.

Cleveland has no shortage of incredible venues, but when it comes to rooftop celebrations, the options narrow quickly. After exploring different possibilities, as soon as they toured the Metropolitan at The 9, they knew. They couldn’t imagine celebrating anywhere else.

For L and J, their wedding wasn’t just about the party. It was about celebrating with the people they love and taking this next step in their lives together. They had been through so much and had so much to be grateful for. Their faith was deeply important to them, and this day wasn’t just about the event. It was a significant moment in their journey as a couple. But at the same time, they also wanted to have the celebration of a lifetime. Blending those two things was a priority, and they were determined to create a wedding that reflected their values while also being a night to remember.

They ended up getting married on the rooftop of The Metropolitan at The 9 under absolutely perfect weather—everyone’s dream come true. Their ceremony was emotional and beautiful, surrounded by the people who mattered most to them.

Private First Look & Vows

The two of them had decided to do a first look, knowing that it would be a meaningful part of the day. But more than just seeing each other for the first time, they wanted to use that moment to pray together and share private vows—words meant only for each other, rather than their 200 guests. This ended up being one of the most special moments of the day. We found a secluded spot within The Vault at The 9, giving them total privacy for this intimate exchange.

The photo and video teams stayed as unobtrusive as possible, capturing the raw, beautiful emotion of the moment. Watching them celebrate each other, love each other, and share words they wouldn’t have spoken in front of a crowd was incredibly moving. There are moments that I’ll remember for a long time, and I imagine they feel that even more deeply.

Once they were officially married, the party truly began. The celebration was in full swing—dancing, laughter, and pure joy everywhere. It was impossible to miss how much this couple was loved. They were surrounded by a community that cared deeply for them, and it showed in every moment of the night.

It was such a joy to be a part of such a beautiful celebration, to have captured it both in photos and on wedding film, and to have witnessed the love and joy that made this day so special. L and J – Thank you for having us.
