Some wedding days feel like an open invitation to joy. T and S’s Cleveland City Hall wedding was exactly that. Everytime I spend time with the two of them, I know exactly why. Set inside a space defined by historic architecture and timeless detail, their celebration balanced reverence and love with movement, and a party to remember. This was a vibrant Indian celebration in the heart of downtown that felt exactly like it should have.
Their two day celebration started with Haldi ceremony held the day before, at their temple. Very close family, amazing food, and absolute excitement about what was to come. Plus, all the normal shenanigans that a Haldi brings.

A Baraat Through Downtown Cleveland
They chose to get ready downtown at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown, setting the tone for the day and making logistics especially easy. One of the nice things about a Cleveland City Hall wedding is it’s proximity to a hotel like the Hilton. You don’t know how big if a deal wedding day logistics are until you try and successfully plan one. Easily one of the most fun parts of this day was the baraat, a traditional Indian wedding procession that celebrates the groom’s arrival. Baraat’s are always fun, drums, energy, incredible dancing, and probably terribly dancing depending on your guest list. But this one was especially fun because we literally shut downtown Cleveland down with the celebration. The road was partially closed, so the groom, surrounded by family and friends, could move from the hotel toward Cleveland City Hall, on horseback with pure excitement and incredible music. Nothing takes a baraat to the next level like attention it draws. Watching this tradition unfold in the heart of the city is always so much fun, especially because of the people driving by shouting congratulations from their windows. I’m pretty sure they could have doubled their wedding attendance right there if they wanted to.

Getting Ready With Laughter and Ease
Before the procession began, the morning unfolded with the kind of relaxed energy that tells you a couple is truly enjoying their day. T and S laughed easily, teased each other, and took everything in stride. They were surrounded by their favorite people, and we got to hear conversations of the bride’s side fussing over her eating enough and the groom’s side vying to try and get the younger kids in the wedding to like them the most by being the coolest groomsmen on site.
Their two dogs joined in on the fun later, becoming an instant highlight. Here Comes the Paws delivered them in time for their first look with their parents and the joy they brought into portraits and quiet moments made the day feel even more complete. I’m pretty sure that their first look with the dogs was almost as much fun as their first look with each other.
A City Hall Hindu Ceremony Rooted in Meaning
The ceremony inside Cleveland City Hall’s rotunda was anything but understated. Beneath soaring historic architecture, T and S celebrated in a way that felt expansive, joyful, and deeply rooted in tradition. The space held the energy effortlessly, grand without feeling rigid, and alive with movement, music, and community. When a venue has this much history and presence, it doesn’t compete with tradition. It amplifies it.
Why Cleveland City Hall Works So Well
For couples considering a Cleveland City Hall wedding, this day shows what’s possible when history and celebration meet. The rotunda offers scale and presence, with architectural details that immediately elevate the experience, while its downtown location keeps the energy vibrant and alive.
It’s a space that holds bold traditions beautifully. One where a baraat can move through the surrounding streets before guests gather beneath soaring ceilings, where laughter echoes against stone, and where culture, movement, and modern life come together without compromise.
A Celebration That Felt Completely Theirs
What made T and S’s wedding so special was how fully it reflected who they are. Kind, thoughtful, playful, and warm. Deeply connected to their culture and the people they love. And, it was a really great party, with really lovely people. What fun to celebrate with these two.
