Bride and groom dancing

Christina and Demetrious had a clear vision for their wedding day. They wanted an industrial and fusion celebration that reflected both of their cultural backgrounds. From the unique venue to the Cambodian traditions, their wedding was a beautiful representation of their love story and a stunning multicultural Cambodian wedding.

The couple decided to have a first look, a private moment before the ceremony where they saw each other for the first time. Christina wore a stunning white dress with a modern chic feel to it. Not to be outdone, Demetrious wore a green velvet tuxedo. Their love was palpable as they embraced, surrounded by the industrial elements of the venue, and a beautiful fall day.

The ceremony took place in an industrial space. It had exposed brick, glass, and metal beams providing a perfect backdrop for the couple’s modern and edgy vision. They exchanged heartfelt vows, had more than a few surprises, and tears and laughter echoed through the space. As he waited for his bride, Demetrious was a perfect example of a man in love. There just wasn’t a dry eye in the venue. As they were announced as newlyweds, streamers went off, and guests cheered and applauded, thrilled to be a part of such a special moment.

As the night went on, guests moved to the reception space. It was beautifully decorated with elegant white florals and candles, juxtaposed against the industrial backdrop. Christina, who is Cambodian, wanted to incorporate traditional Cambodian wedding customs into the reception. Because the couple had done their Sompeas Ptem ceremony privately on another day, it was time for some fun. The couple went to change into their Cambodian wedding attire and got ready for the next section of their reception.

When they entered the reception they were prepared to receive their gifts. This is frankly so much more fun than a western wedding where you’re just taking things home. At a Cambodian wedding, you’re “working” for these gifts. Christina and Demetrious were stopping by each table to show respect and thank guests for being there, as well as receive gifts that the family and friends had set aside for them. The especially fun part is that a lot of these tables were filled with friends who were fully planning on making this couple “work” for their gifts which made for quite the party. As guests from all backgrounds came together to celebrate Christina and Demetrious’ love and the merging of their cultures, it was a beautiful and fun time.

Throughout the night, the newlyweds took to the dance floor, surrounded by their loved ones. They danced to a mix of Cambodian and American music, celebrating both of their cultures and the love that brought them together.

The industrial space provided a unique and edgy backdrop for the wedding, and their vision was brought to life flawlessly. From the gorgeous decor to the Cambodian traditions, every detail was carefully planned and executed to perfection.

Christina and Demetrious’ multicultural Cambodian wedding was a beautiful fusion of their cultures and personalities and as a multicultural wedding photographer, it was just a whole lot of fun. They brought together their families, friends, and loved ones to celebrate their love. It was a night filled with love, laughter, and beautiful memories that they will cherish for a lifetime. Oh, and these two, they’re amazing. We love you Chris and Meech!
