Kate + Adam

For someone who doesn’t really bond with nature much, it does seem that I hang out with it a fairly large amount. 😉 I just heard half of my friends snickering from afar. In my defense (again), I will mention that I do enjoy nature, tremendously. I just prefer to enjoy it with a coffee in hand, vegan donut next to me and while sitting on a front porch.

I’m a front-porch-nature-er. Where are my people at??

No? All right, well, even if you are an ACTUAL nature aficionado (please see prior paragraph for defense), you may appreciate a couple who actually hikes for pleasure and enjoys all things outdoors.

I had the opportunity to spend some time with Kate and Adam when I was traveling for a destination wedding. Most of the time when I am traveling somewhere, I try to connect and explore the area a bit. This was especially fun because when I had connected with Kate and Adam, they had a bunch of wonderful ideas on places to photograph because they play in these areas often, they are people who love the outdoors.

Also, on another topic, clearly I don’t camp. But, when I meet people like Kate and Adam (and quite a few others lately), they make camping seem really fun. Campfires, quiet solitude, beautiful views. I can get behind that. I like pretty things. I can actually feel myself getting sucked into this hallmark card version of what camping really is. I have a small suspicion that camping is more dirt and cold than hallmark but I’m starting to get nervous that I might actually give in and try this? Talk me out of it friends, I need some camping reality stories, it’s all too picturesque in my head…

Camping aside, I had the most wonderful afternoon with Kate and Adam. Chatting and exploring together, watching the two of them being madly in love with each other was quite possibly the best way to experience nature… (other than the front porch version). Except for the one time Adam said, “make sure you check for ticks after we leave”. Wait, WHAT?!?!?!

Life lesson, nature is dangerous. 😉 Enjoy, friends.
