Metropolitan at The 9 Micro Wedding

Metropolitan at The 9 Micro Wedding

When it comes to planning a wedding, every couple has their own unique vision and style. Abbie and Anthony knew they wanted to incorporate the energy and chicness of New York City into their special day. And that’s exactly what they did with their New York-inspired micro wedding.

Abbie and Anthony changed gears… entirely. When they first came to us, they planned a 150-person traditional wedding at a beautiful local venue that they’d fallen in love with. Midway through the planning, we got a call from Abbie saying they were thinking of taking an entirely different approach. A traditional wedding didn’t feel like them. They weren’t having fun planning, and they just didn’t feel like things were falling into place. They scrapped their plans and instead opted for a New York-inspired elopement. Focusing on Abbie’s love of fashion and what they really cared about – celebrating with their friends and family.

The couple was ahead of the 2023 trend and got ready together at The Metropolitan at The 9, Autograph Collection.  Then they shared private vows in the Historic Cleveland Public Library in Downtown Cleveland. It was a gorgeous setting for the intimate ceremony. Close friends and family joining moments afterward to congratulate the couple with hugs and champagne. It was perfectly set with the background of downtown Cleveland.

The reception, held in a loft-style event space, was a true reflection of the couple’s love for the city. The décor was sleek and modern, with a color palette of black, white, and gold, with bold pops of red and blue.  Their guests enjoyed a farm-to-table menu and the couple spent the night celebrating with 40 of their closest friends and family. Abbie and Anthony gifted their guests the cutest late-night snack boxes. Everyone celebrated, chatted and had fun throughout the night. The atmosphere was lively, yet intimate, and the couple was able to enjoy the company of their closest friends and family without the stress of a large wedding.

They also made sure to incorporate their love for the city into their attire. I dare you to find a more chic-looking couple. The bride wore a simple yet elegant short white gown, paired with an amazing long veil. She held classic white roses and the groom wore a sleek black suit with a white shirt and black tie.

This New York-inspired Metropolitan at The 9 micro wedding was a true reflection of the couple’s love for each other. It was a chic and personal celebration that will be remembered for years to come. Abbie and Anthony, we’re so grateful to have been a part of such a beautiful day. Thank you for having us!
