A & J, these two are the kindest souls you’ll ever know. Their day was thoughtfully planned by Engaged with Nora and the couple who lives across the country but was planning for a celebration in Cleveland to be close to family.
On their wedding day, the power went out. It was after a big storm and the city was taking a minute to recover. They were getting married in one of Cleveland’s beautiful old churches filled with stone and stained glass.
Because our team is on the larger side we figured out early what was happening, half our team was at the church while we were still photographing the bride’s getting ready in her family home.
We joked later that communicating the “power went out” didn’t fully get through until walking in. The bride later told us she remembers not being able to see her hand in front of her face, that kind of dark.
The photos of the ceremony ended up being some of the couple’s favorite of the wedding day. Wedding days are unpredictable. It’s not a reason to stress, look at the smile on A’s face! But it is a reason to think about why having professionals around you who know what to do really matters. We were so honored to be by their side.
