She lights up a room with her incredible smile. She is ridiculous. She’s silly. She loves people. She’s driven. She has big goals and plans and she’s just the type of girl who is going to accomplish every one of those dreams of hers. She is a senior at a local south Florida high school right now but she’s getting ready to attend college in a little over 6 months or so. It was so awesome to have the opportunity to have her in front of my lens. I’m pretty sure her session consisted of us laughing more than anything else. At one point she told me to stop looking at her because she couldn’t keep a straight face. I started to explain that it was hard to photograph someone without looking at them but decided against it… 😉
We also discovered that she is deathly afraid of the grass. Or dried fields, not sure? At one point I suggested she sit for a shot and she loudly exclaimed ‘No way! You have no idea what could be down there!!’. No, normally I agree of course. If you read my previous blog post (top ten issues with south Florida, or some such thing) you will be aware that I have a strong suspicion that there are alligators lurking at all times in this tropical paradise. But this wasn’t the type of field that you couldn’t see underneath, it had light foliage and you could easily see the dirt. I pointed all of these things out to her, and she was still having none of it. I think I finally got her down with promises of throwing myself over what ever should come to try and attack her. 😉 Good news. We both survived.
Thanks for the laughs Kayla!
