Have you ever noticed that some people are just different? I know we all have our perspective; introverts, extraverts, etc. Some of us are charged up around people, some of us would rather crawl in a hole somewhere to be left alone. I think it’s safe to say that no matter what your view is, in life, there are a few people that just make you better. You’re just happier after you’ve spent time with them. People that you want to do better, and be better because they’re in the room. Those people.
Guys. This girl.
You need to know that I don’t even know her that well and that’s how I feel about her. Can you image her close friends?? One of them should have written this blog. She is the kind of girl who wants to know who you are, genuinely. Just ask any of the many students she pours into on a continual basis. She is those kind of people. I guess I feel like the world needs way more of them. So when I see those people, it makes me smile.
Some people, you know?
We started our session way too early in the morning and like many of my kind hearted clients, she agreed this was a good idea. Shout out. I generally go on and on about lighting and such and people tend to see that I’m really super intense about these things and work with it. 😉 We then, like every other session I do, battled the snakes and wild animals south Florida has to offer. Ok, not really. But I still, with every session I do, am absolutely convinced we’re about to meet some crazy animal. Especially every time I find some new field and convince some poor person to go running through, ‘it’ll be worth it for the images!!’! God bless my clients.
The key is to act calm and assure them I checked for alligators right before they got there. 😉 Actually, it turns out it’s just my continual adjustment to this south Florida goodness and being a photographer in such a climate. I am still comforting myself with the fact that in California where I lived, right now, we’d be doing portraits session in the snow, bringing clients in and out of the car so they didn’t die of frostbite. Now that I think of it, my clients are brave wherever I’m photographing. 😉 However, bears don’t scare me a bit. Just saying.
The last thing I’ll say in this crazy and everywhere blog is… her smile. I have the opportunity to look at a lot of people. From brides, to babies, from my photographic work to the work of other photographers that I’m constantly learning from, I see a lot of people. This girl has the most beautiful smile, she literally lights up a room. She has that ‘stop you in your tracks’ kind of beauty. And everything about her makes her outward beauty shine even brighter.
Such an honor to have her in front of my lens. Enjoy.
