Don’t you love follow through?? I do. It’s a new thing for me and blogging, but occasionally it seems appropriate. The last posted blog was me bragging on a little blessing to be, in a lovely ranch style maternity session. This is the (ready for this?) follow-up blog (new leaf, I’m telling you) which is all about the little sweetheart herself.
Newborn sessions are just too much fun. Playing with newborn babies doesn’t have a lot of downsides that I can think of. Plus, I always enjoy these sessions because they are so relaxed and laid back. I always tell my expectant mamas that the newborn session is about them and the baby, nothing else. It’s about making them comfortable and having it be a wonderful experience, not a stressful one. The beauty of lifestyle photography anyway is that we’re trying to preserve a picture of life as it is in that moment. Perhaps we might edit a few things out of real life like, the spit up and diapers. 😉 But otherwise, with lifestyle photography, we’re trying to create a glimpse, a memory, something to preserve a moment. So with that in mind, it’s not a big production if baby is crying and things don’t go well. We’ll just sit and rock and snuggle until we’re happy again. No stress for mama, no stress for baby. No stress for photographer. 😉
Now, all babies are special, all babies are cute, but have you seen her??? I was so taken by her and I promise she is just as sweet as she looks. We had so much fun playing with her capturing both images of her and images of where their family is in this moment. Apparently it’s been a little while since I’ve had a little girl, and not that little boys aren’t wonderful but, oh my goodness. I’m pretty sure I was actually squealing at the baby girl accessories. Her mama also has fabulous taste, so I was gasping over everything she had for her, her beautifully decorated room, etc.
So, I will leave you with images of lots of pinks and tons of little girl cuteness. I hope you love them as much as I did.
