Our family went to Disney World this week… actually, we’ve been going a lot lately because well, that whole “photographer who loves weddings and all things love story” thing also applies to Disney. I can’t turn it off. I’m this great romantic. I think it’s a happy ending complex or something. I’m obsessed. Anyway, we took the boys to Epcot for the first time since moving to south Florida, and my husband and I quickly decided it may be our favorite park. This is all really besides the point of this blog but I’m sharing my excitement either way. Thanks for listening. 😉
One of my favorite things to do in Disney is princess watch. I, being a mother of boys, am familiar with constant sword play, tree climbing, wrestling, and using of ‘The Force’. So to me, watching the little girls all dressed up in their princess gowns prancing through Disney is basically the cutest thing, ever. Ever.
As we walk by, I usually tell my kids, “boys, say ‘hi’ to the princess!” They are very use to this and comply with a smile while the little girl in question looks around to find the princess near by, only to realizes that it’s her we’re talking about and begins squealing with delight. Day made.
Every little girl should feel like the princess she is. The images I’m sharing here are definitely not Disney (although this family loves Disney as well, so maybe a Disney session is next! 😉 ). They are instead a simple family photography session on Hutchinson Island (for those that don’t know, it’s about 45 min north of West Palm Beach) where the little princesses in question played, explored and wore crowns. Princess appropriate of course.
This family is the sweetest, most beautiful little mess of girls. They are all ridiculous humans with the kind of kids that you wonder if (and hope) you’ll be around to see what they do when they grow up. Because these princesses will, without a doubt, change the world.
Lauren and James, thanks for letting me be a part of capturing the beauty of your family.
Everyone else, enjoy.
PS – If you need me I’ll be at Disney! 😉
