Every once in a while there is a session that is just… fabulous. Well, let me start over. I’m sure you all know I pretty much adore my clients. I really do. The opportunity to connect with people at such different and meaningful points in their lives is something I think is incredible, valuable and beautiful. The person you trust to capture your wedding photography, your baby’s first days of life, your high school senior’s personality, that’s a big deal and I love that I get to be a part of those moments.
But even with that, there are certain sessions that are just a blast. This was absolutely one of them. If this were a blog post on engagement photo ideas, or just an engagement photo shoot, I would be thrilled to show the images. But these guys are actually already married. In fact these guys are already expecting. These images are their super fun pregnancy announcement. Stop it. So cute.
One of the things I loved about our “pregnancy announcement idea/we’re so cute we might as well be engagement photo ideas” plan was that they had some great thoughts. And yet, when I was like there is this random wall I want to take you to, they were completely excited to play and work with me to get some great images. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE when I have clients that are down for anything and we can really plan and then experiment to get something really beautiful.
About half way through our time, we took a coffee break (fabulous clients understand the priority of coffee). It was really more about my cute little mama-to-be… really. After all we’re in south Florida here, it was hot and she is expecting! 😉 We laughed, we talked about being parents and how it’s the biggest, scariest, most amazing thing that will ever happen to you. These guys.
Rachel and Josh. I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun you guys are. Even though I’m a little bitter I wasn’t around when you guys were doing your actual engagement photo shoot, I’m pretty grateful you chose me to capture this moment in your life. You guys are going to rock as parents. Congrats.
